When the fig tree sprout new leaves
For as long as I have been a apart of my Church community over the past 12 years, that’s how long I have known Hanna. A quiet girl with a petite figure from Beijing who is shy about a lot of things, except her burning desire to preach the Gospel of Jesus to all those around her.
Hanna is an epic example of a over comer. Throughout the years we’ve seen each other’s best of times as well as the worst of times. I have nothing but the greatest gratitude toward the example she had lived through that empowers anyone that is dealing through a weary time of their lives to live with their head held high, to see that the glory days of God lays not in the past, but ahead in the path that we choose to walk on.
Joseph and I have also know one another for a long time, but we mostly only crossed paths throughout the years Church functions and serving together. And over the recent years we have gotten a lot closer in that we found we have similar view on some of the things, as well as some of our life difficulties, to which I value his insight into life as a whole, and his down but never out demeanor.
Hence, when the two of them came to us with their news, a great rush of joy came to Cat & I. We have seen their individual lives have gotten stronger since they got together, and their personalities have also gone into blossom with the love support they draw from one an other.
I take it as an honour to be their friend, colleague, and family.
Naturally, this engagement session was like no other, because we literally felt like this was just a hangout with family. Something casual, and filled with laughter… something too much laughter we had forgotten we needed to get some photos done in the mean time.
